Sisters In Scholarship, Technology, Economics, Refinement & Services, Inc.

SISTERS, Inc. is the abbreviated version of Sisters in Scholarships, Technology, Economics, Refinement and Service was incorporated December 12, 2005. SISTERS, Inc. is a 501(3)c formed exclusively for charitable and outreach purposes. Gamma Tau Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated has serviced as SISTERS, Inc. principal partner since the foundation's inception.  Carolyn F. Hugley is credited with the name and acronym. Carolyn G. Randolph served as the first President of the Board of Directors., which was composed of 15 Board Members with a total membership of 121.

SISTERS, Inc's purpose is to exercise, promote, and enhance the lives of the residents of Columbus, Georgia and the Chattahoochee Valley. The services of the foundation will be rendered by fostering a healthy interest in the civic affairs of the community; helping young people receive a higher education through scholarships and awards; providing seminars and programs that are engaged in promoting training and educational activities; and promoting unity within the community in matters of educational, cultural, and civic life. We love what we do and it shows in us dedicating our utmost energy to every project we undertake in serving the community.  There’s no challenge too big or too small, and we dedicate our utmost energy to every project we take on
